Vandenlangenberg gave the Sexton’s report. The Cemetery now has a fire number assigned to it, 14097 Silver Hill Road. Approximately, 20 lots have been sold this year and 12 cremations and 4 burials. The little mower is still hanging on but will not last much longer. There is a brush pile in the vacant area that is pretty big. He thought maybe he could rent a wood chipper and use the chips for cemetery purposes. He also stated that he found someone (Don Bank) that would possibly help restore the entrance sign. Uecke took this time to discuss again that state statutes allow the town to take back graves that have been sold but unclaimed after time. He also restated that the town’s need to keep in mind that the cemetery is getting full and they should start looking into more land. No motions are entertained.
The Sexton reported no complaints with the opening and closing fees that were set last year. The board agreed to keep prices set at $30. No motions are entertained.
The board discussed the budget for the 2013 year. Motion by O’Brien; seconded by Booth to raise the annual budget from $2,000 to $2,200 per town with $500 of that to be set into capital outlay. Motioned carried.
New business brought attention to getting a laptop or tablet for record keeping. O’Brien can possibly get one donated to the cemetery. No motions are entertained.
Motion to adjourn by O’Brien, seconded by Booth. Motion carried. Time is 4:07pm.
Respectfully submitted for approval by,
