TOWN OF MOUNTAIN
SPECIAL BOARD MEETING DECEMBER 27, 2011
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Hull at 6:00 p.m. in the Town Office. Roll call was taken with all members present as well as 0 in attendance. The agenda was posted on December 26th. Motion to approve the agenda by Wirth. Seconded by Hull. Motion carried. The Pledge of Allegiance is said.
Ordinance No. 1-2002 Fire Department Organization – Town Board reviewed Ordinance; discussed Article IV-Department Structure with changes made to Chain of Command, #4. Fire Safety/Training Officer removed from Chain of Command and replaced with Lieutenant; #5 sub b. changes made to wording as Town Board members discussed any fire fighter can be appointed to take minutes at a meeting; addition of sub-section B. Additional Positions listing Safety Officer and Training Officer. Motion to accept with noted corrections by Hull. Seconded by Wirth. Motion carried.
Ordinance #2-2000 Fire Protection Charges – Town Board reviewed Ordinance; discussed changes to equipment listed with 2000 model Pumper/Tanker changed to Tender and Tanker #1 removed. Motion that we accept the Ordinance with scheduled changes by Uecke. Seconded by Wirth. Motion carried.
Resolution 1/2004 Fire Department Appointed Officers Reimbursements – Town Board reviewed Resolution; discussed changing Resolution titling to “Fire Department Personnel Reimbursements” as all firefighters receive reimbursements; changes to Salary discussed with decision to increase Fire Chief’s salary to $2,000 and remove Secretary and Training Officer’s salaries at this time; reviewed Meetings and Expenses reimbursements with no changes at this time but to possibly review after new Fire Chief is appointed. Motion that we accept the Resolution with the aforementioned changes by Uecke. Seconded by Hull. Motion carried. Wirth Abstained.
Motion to adjourn by Wirth. Seconded by Uecke. Motion carried. Time is 7:10 p.m.
