TOWN OF MOUNTAIN
BOARD MEETING    JUNE 12, 2012

MINUTES

The meeting was called to order by Chairman Hull at 7:00 p.m. in the Town Office.  Roll call was taken with all board members present, as well as 11 in attendance.  The agenda was posted on June 9, 2012. Motion to amend Agenda items #13, 14, and 15 to read 2012-2013 by Wirth.  Seconded by Hull.  Motion carried.  Motion to approve the amended agenda by Uecke.  Seconded by Wirth.  Motion carried.  The Pledge of Allegiance is said.

Treasurer’s Report was given by Kauzlaric with bank statements available for review.  Motion to accept Treasurer’s report by Wirth.  Seconded by Hull.  Motion carried.

Minutes of the Town Board meeting held May 15, 2012 were available for review. Motion to approve minutes by Wirth.  Seconded by Uecke.  Motion carried.

Minutes of the Board of Review meet and adjourn held May 15, 2012 were available for review. Motion to approve minutes by Hull.  Seconded by Wirth.  Motion carried.

Minutes of the Special Town Board meeting held May 26, 2012 were available for review. Motion to approve minutes by Wirth.  Seconded by Hull.  Motion carried.

Budget Amendments – none at this time.

Disbursements were available for all to review; checks #20150 to and including #20202 for disbursement of $32,466.38, which includes auto withdrawal of payroll taxes.  Motion to approve disbursements by Uecke.  Seconded by Wirth.  Motion carried.

Ambulance Report – Chairman Hull stated there was another 3 Town Board Meeting to continue the review of the Intergovernmental Agreement, which is not complete.  No motions are entertained.

Fire Department Report – Chief Harkema stated there were 2 calls, which included a roll over at the junction of Highways 32 & 64; 4 firefighters are attending a training for rollovers & spills; discussed Agreement in conjunction with other Fire Departments for use of equipment obtained from a 1033 Program (around $650,000 worth of equipment for use by Fire Departments, EMS and police), equipment to be staged from Wabeno to Mountain.  No motions are entertained.

Humane Officer Report is given by Mike Rzepka, with 4 calls researched; also stated he is sending letter to Beacon regarding his resignation and looking for interested candidates for the position; Sup. Wirth requested that Mike attend 6 Town Board Meeting to discuss possible options.  No motions are entertained.

Cemetery Report – Sup. Uecke discussed that John, our Sexton, is back to full duty.  No motions are entertained.

Planning Commission Report – No meeting.

Communication File is reviewed and list is signed.

Special Gathering License-St. Michael’s Church – license for their Polka Mass on June 24th.  Motion to approve by Wirth.  Seconded by Uecke.  Motion carried.

2012-2013 Liquor License Applications (by list) – list reviewed by Board members.  Motion to approve by Uecke.  Seconded by Hull.  Motion carried.

2012-2013 Cigarette License Applications (by list) – list reviewed by Board members.  Motion to approve the list by Hull.  Seconded by Wirth.  Motion carried.

2012-2013 Operator’s License Applications (by list) – list reviewed by Board members.  Motion to approve them by Wirth.  Seconded by Hull.  Motion carried.

Town Insurance Policy Renewal – Sup. Wirth reviewed list of equipment on policy and stated that 1984 truck is no longer owned by Town; Clerk Kauzlaric to contact insurance agent to have removed.  Motion to approve insurance policy with notation of 1984 truck by Hull.  Seconded by Uecke.  Motion carried.

Disbursements of checks #20203 and 20204 in the amounts of $14,896.00 for Town Insurance policy renewals.  Motion to approve by Uecke.  Seconded by Wirth.  Motion carried.

Outdoor Events Ordinance – Board Members reviewed another draft received from Stellpflug Law Office; several changes noted by Board Members; Chairman Hull to review suggested changes with attorney for final draft.  Tabled until next month.

“Cliff” Street Access – Chairman Hull discussed that it has been difficult to set a meeting date with all parties involved with property access issue; suggestion to write letter to parties involved regarding access for Steeno from Town property from former Cliff Street.   Motion that we send this letter stated what I just said by Hull.  Seconded by Uecke.  Motion carried.

August Town Board Meeting Date Change – Clerk Kauzlaric stated that August Town Board meeting date need to due to Fall Primary election being held that day.  Motion to move it to Monday August 14th by Wirth.  Seconded by Uecke.  Motion carried.

Hearing of the People brought about concerns relating to scheduling of a mandatory meeting with garage employees; who was awarded bid for black top; information on Cemetery plots; which roads will be worked on this year; dust control for ATV route on Stone Quarry road; Kingston Road breaking up from ATV travel on it in some areas; request for 10 MPH signage on Stone Quarry  and McComb Lake Roads for ATV’s; ATV Access Route sign missing from trail to Stone Quarry Road; who was appointed to Planning Commission.
